cordially invites all Houstonians to party like it’s 1919 at our Prohibition-themed New Year’s Eve Speakeasy soiree! Dust off those boaters and suspenders, flapper dresses and beads, and join Mildred’s for a New Year’s Eve shindig that relives the style and sophistication of the 1920’s. Sans the Volstead Act!
"We have had a really fantastic year with The Drowning Girls, Mac Wellman's Dracula, and being honored for our hard work by The American Theatre Wing and the National Endowment for the Arts," says Board President, Dennis Draper. "Now we want to share all that joy with our patrons and friends and get ready for an even better 2016."
This fun and fanciful "throwback Thursday" event will help raise funds to support Mildred’s operating costs through 2017. Ticket prices include open bar and food, plus dancing and yet to be named entertainers. Vintage or faux vintage dress is encouraged but we’ll accept you in your theatre blacks too!
